Who's more important: Christopher Columbus or John Smith?
Clara Barton or Ruby Bridges?
Ruby Bridges or Dolores Huerta?
Is the story of Nathan Hale too gruesome for first graders?
Will history books refer to the 44th American president as Barack Obama, Barack H. Obama or Barack Hussein Obama?
Late into the night, the Texas Board of Education considered these and other questions for the states social studies curriculum. The debate has set off a culture war, pitting conservatives against democrats in a battle that attracted 40,000 e mails from parents, teachers and academics from around the nation.

Is it, or is it not his middle name?
What's the left afraid of?
The commies that write text books will call him “barack hussein obama... mmmmmmm... mmmmmmm... mmmmmmm”.

First!
The only thing that seems consistent about the sometimes
White House resident is ITS middle name of Hussein.
The story of Nathan Hale should be known by every first grader.
*LOL!* You guys beat me! LOL!
Community orgaizers are creatures of promiscuous and ambiguous identity.
Read the article. That meeting sounded ugly. Broke down along racial/gender lines.
...aka Barry Soetoro
Actually, it broke down along liberal vs conservative lines. This has been one of the main topics on the morning talk show on KLBJ today.
:-)
We’ll scoot over and let you in FRiend!

Barack Hussein Marxist Evil Demon Obama.
Why are parents letting these gerbils decide what their children will learn?
It should be real easy to decide based on how the other presidents are identified. Does it say George W Bush or George Walker Bush? Ronald Wilson Reagan or just Ronald Reagan? John F Kennedy or John Fitzgerald or JFK? Lindon Baines or LBJ? Abraham Lincoln didn’t even have a middle name.
Anyway the point is all these people have to do is get the general tone of how the other presidents are addressed in the textbook and identify Obama accordingly. If it is all full names use his full name, if it is more casual like Bill Clinton instead of William Jefferson use that.
What’s the left afraid of?
In general, the same thing their ideological father fears and despises.
The Truth.
