A minor point, but worth arguing, is that the Constitution does not GIVE rights, it ACKNOWLEDGES them... for what the Government can give, via Constitutional Amendment, it can also take away.
The Constitution does not guarantee us anything. The Constitution does not grant or convey to us our rights.
The Constitution merely enumerates the rights we already possess by virtue of our humanity - PERIOD.
No government on earth can strip them from us. They can only actively force or passively coerce us from exercising them.
But no stroke of the pen can separate us from our rights; and the right to defend our LIFE is paramount.

Firearms is about the only thing that 0bama hasn’t went after.
I expect it will be during his second term before he makes a serious move in that area. In the meantime, stock up!
There is but one consumer product the ownership of which is protected by the constitution. It is NOT health care, it is not shelter or transportation. Food or water or clothing, it is firearms.
We got motivated around here again before the last election because we thought Hillary had a good chance against McCain. Couldn’t have imagined what would actually transpire. Hadn’t seen that kind of buying furor since Y2K, or the great primer shortage( and magazines. etc) when the first “assault” weapons ban was passed in ‘94.
You know it’s their trump card they hope to play; be it by majority legislation, by executive fiat, by treaty enactment or by any other means.
If I were in charge of DC security I would beef up around SCOTUS big time. A disaster at the supreme court would enable a once-and-for-all stacking of the deck.
God save the United States.
Guns may be removed from my home, it is true. But there will be dead bodies all over the place. Hope they are OK with that.
I am.
NFA ‘34, CGA ‘68, FOPA ‘86, AWB ‘94 were allowed to happen because those before us did nothing.
