Peter may be too socially libertarian (more than Rand Paul) and too far behind (worse than Chuck DeVore) for Palin to back.

Simmons I suppose would be the tepid establishment candidate, but McMahon is the big bucks, Fiorina/Whitman-style just-how-conservative-rather-than-opportunistic businesswoman is she candidate.

Hard to get too excited here other than with Blumenthal’s fall, making a win seem possible if not yet likely for either Simmons or McMahon.

Is that how others from CT see it?

August is a long ways away, Palin should wait to see a poll. People figure Schiff is over 10%.

The economic libertarianism is more popular with Republicans / Conservatives.

Another thing to consider is that Palin is not considered popular in New England. Did she endorse Scott Brown? Did she come up to appear with Scott Brown? I recall hearing that Palin’s wasn’t a particularly desired endorsement in New England. But was that the General or the Primary?
