Ummm, that side does have the military. They have all the government workers - union workers. And those union people are paid more than the rest of us - with better benefits - and they're bankrupting the country. They have massive incentives to hate the people they're ripping off (us)... So we need to play this smart - or we'll be sitting in reeducation camps... or worse.

I've got news for you...that is where this train is headed regardless of how smart we play it. It's never played out any other way.

We don't even have the luxury of just becoming drone like Scandinavian countries and going quietly and willingly into a soft sort of tyranny. Scandinavia had the luxury, in the formative years, of a stable homogenous society. We have a balkanized society completely hopped up on tribalism and growing more so by the day. We are looking at some quasi Zimbabwe-Argentina-Mao's China and it aint gonna be pleasant.
