Everyone note what it says in the first paragraph. When referring to law enforcement officers in the State of California it says they Shall, not may do these things. Is it just me or does thing already say that California can do the same as Arizona?

That’s the way I read it. Problem is...who can we get to take this to heart and enforce? Democrats most assuredly will not. Republicans are too few (in the state legislature) to even bring it up. Can ‘We The People’ do anything to push this? Any ideas out there?

It is one thing for a state law to read as this; another for local PDs to actively follow it.

Costa Mesa has voted more than once, going back five years and again last week, to actively do pretty much what Arizona has been in the news for.
