Try as they might, immigration-overhaul advocates who were hoping to get arrested during a demonstration Thursday in downtown Seattle just, well, couldn't.
They packed the lobby of a downtown office building for about an hour, blocking access to its elevators and refusing to let people through.
When that wasn't enough, they spilled into the street and sat down in the middle of three successive intersections along Madison Street, blocking traffic.
That, too, didn't do it.
"We tried," said Pramila Jayapal, founder and executive director of the immigrant-advocacy organization OneAmerica, which had a key role in organizing the rally. "Next time, we'll be looking at something bigger."

They should go to the border and stop traffic there.
Then 0bammy would have them arrested for blocking progress.
Oh, goody goody. Speed bumps.

It’s not “lookin’ good” for the invaders. They aren’t winning many hearts with their commie lib antics. Scaring Americans into giving them citizenship isn’t going to work. Not this time.
If they wanted to get arrested they should've quoted the Bible -- it might be considered "hate literature" in Seattle by now.
Pramila Jayapal? I thought all Amish were named Stolzfus? /s
LOL!
I don’t think anyone has a right to demand to be an American citizen. Citizenship is one of the most valuable gifts on earth and it should be earned.

excellent
They just arrested a guy in Seattle on rape charges that had been deported nine, yes nine times. Were they standing up for his rights?
I find it hilarious that this group is annoying a sanctuary city with their antics. I wish them well with even bigger and more annoyances to come for Seattle. This will serve to introduce all the lily-white liberals in Seattle to the true illegal immigrant mind set that they defend.
Great point!
Note the one state they are real quite in?
"....I first read Barack Obama's book, Dreams From My Father, upstairs in our guest bedroom before he had declared he was running for President. I had started reading it before bed and then, not wanting to wake my husband but unable to put the book down, I went upstairs to finish it. I woke my husband up at 3 AM, my cheeks wet with tears. "Can you imagine if we had a President who actually understood race? A President who actually had lived in other parts of the world and understood more about the rest of the world through his own experience?" I was overcome with emotion...."

A year later, how do I feel?
The answer is complex. The conflicting emotions are constant in my head and my heart.
On the one hand, I am terribly disappointed. Some days, I am furious. Some days, I just wonder what secret plan Obama has to pull things out in the end, because he could not possibly be this weak.
This issue has no chance of ever being resolved or even discussed rationally until it is understood that immigration is not the problem. Every one of these open borders groups insist on claiming that immigration reform is their goal.
That is hoqwash. They are attempting to legalize the millions of criminals who are in this country ilegally. And no, there is no qualifier between dope dealers, felons of every stripe and those people who are “just here to do the jobs that Americans will not do.”
They are all criminals when they cross the border illegally. They should be treated as such and as long as they are considered victims there will be no resolution to this threat to the continued existence of the United States of America.
