What an interesting comment! Regulator, do you happen to know if there are any books about psycopaths in corporate America?
I did a lot of web searches on the subject, came up with some good info, used it in my job. Managed to get a really bad case that I was dealing with shut down...but he's still there. Working on that; he's just no longer in a position of power.
Corporations should give candidate managers a PCL-R test, or else they are risking major lawsuits and possibly a guy like this, who's a psycho murderer. Most of the time they manage to restrain themselves enough to keep from being caught, but hierarchical organizations tend to favor them.
An interesting point is that psychopathy is genetic. The alleles are known. I hate to say it, but a simple DNA test could identify a potential bad guy. Since some of them self attenuate, pre-restraint would probably be frowned on.
But then again, maybe a lot more innocent women would be alive if some identification of probable nutcases were made.
