I would like to know why they are using only a 4 inch tube in the well opening that is 22 inches in diameter. Why are they not running a 20 inch pipe down inside the 22 inch pipe? Or anything larger than what they have. They are trying to use a straw to drink from a broken off fire hydrant. Somebody get a bigger straw!!

22in would be the size of the riser pipe, not the casing.
I don't know what 4” pipe you're talking about, but I assume you are referring to the pipe on the BOP. That's just the size that's on it.
