I’ll bet the states along the Gulf coast would trade those littered paths for their gushing well any day. I support Arizona’s efforts across the board but the littered paths are hardly an ecological disaster.

“...the littered paths are hardly an ecological disaster....”

Photographs show the common paths but the damage from plastic trash to pristine areas is very wide and prolific.
The raw Petroleum in the Gulf will breakdown naturally and most of it will be gone by next summer even though the effects will last longer.

In the desert vast acres of plastic trash will stay unsightly for a much much longer time.

Aside from the environmental impact the situation has already closed off most of the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument to tourists and backpackers. Illegal immigration is creating crime and safety concerns that are very real in urban, rural, and wilderness settings.

I am willing to bet that you have NOT personally set eyes on the mess they leave in their tracks.

Until you have seen it yourself- not on “YouTube” or anywhere that it can be edited, I suggest that you could not be more wrong about your statement.

I would also bet that you have never talked directly, personally to a rancher in Ariz-New Mexico-or Texas about the damages they are suffering with the intruders.

Did you attend the funeral of rancher Robert Krentz? Bet not.

Did you send a donation to his family to help them continue running their ranch? Bet not.

Where ever your safe little haven is, you are not watching intruders kill your cattle, sheep & dogs. You have not lost cattle to butchers who cut off the choicest pieces & leave the rest of a $2000 steer for the buzzards. Do you think there is insurance for that kind of trouble? Think again. You are not seeing your buildings broken into, as well as your house.

You are not seeing your cattle die because the intruders have fouled the stock tanks on your acreage with their human waste & used diapers.

Quit playing compter games & find out up close & personal what is actually going on in the border states.

Ok, I’ll play your game.

What type of respect for any other area of the environment of the USA do you think that these same people would have if they choose to do this in the desert.

Think they would think twice on dumping used motor oil on the ground or leaving garbage instead of clothes anywhere they went? How about used drug needles for our kids to find play with?

Yes, they are and there is even worse damage being done to the interior by illegal aliens. Armed Mexican Drug cartels are growing thousands of acres of pot plantations every year in your national forests and parks. Last year 88,000 acres burned in the La Brea fire alone..it was set by aliens.
They use any chemical they can haul in and tear up the habitat.
