Yeah, I hear ya. For the record I did MUCH better in college when I had to work - forced me to organize my time better. And if the only reason you’re not working is because you’re going to school, then your room and board needs to be part of your financial plan, grants, scholarships, whatever. The general public shouldn’t have to shoulder it. In other words, there should be an exclusion for college students.
So did I! I put no effort at all into high school. Once I decided to go to college, and I had to pay for it on my own, I made sure to get my money's worth. ;-)
