She can’t afford the distraction during the campaign. A law suit would suck all the energy out of her campaign. Just deny it and get on with trying to win the election.

If the allegation costs her the election, she’d have more reason (and time) to deal with a law suit. The statute of limitations would be long after she would be sworn in (or not).

The Democrats tried this with John McCain during the primary and got nowhere, but neither did the law suit. Even after it was found to be a false allegation, the press never made any retractions.

This guy’s a real creep and I hope that he suffers the same fate as Bush’s failed spokesman, Scott McClellan. He kind of reminds me of Scott in the picture, too.
