Not very good business practice that, killing your customers.

But seriously, folks, the danger of overdose which this highlights is actually one of the harms of keeping psychoactive substances illegal: no quality control.

Good point. Like with booze; no one ever dies from alcohol related problems because it is clearly labeled.

Good grief.

Let’s make Kiddie Porn legal to; then the pictures will only be taken by professional photographers and devotees can “come from the shadows” like poor illegal aliens.

Our resident Drug Warriors won't care; just so long as the correct people end up dead.

Legalizing it would create a new set of problems.

Would you want to own a store selling heroin, and have to worry about addicts breaking into the store at night to get their “fix.”

Bullsh*t.

The article specifically states that it is because of its high-quality that people are dying from it.

Actually, if I understand the logic, once word of these deaths gets around on the street, it serves as a very powerful advertisement for this particular brand heroin. Users figure (1) I can cut it myself and save, or (2) my system can tolerate the higher dose, and I'll get higher for less. Anyway, I've heard of this happening before for that reason.
