It's one thing to get dead Dems to vote for you, it's another whole thing to elect a dead Dem. That's pull.

Okay, if Mel Carnahan really beat John Ashcroft in 2000, why didn’t they swear him in? Some of the current senators are half-dead already. I can’t see it’d be much of a stretch to admit an actual dead man.
