It’s not an apology if he’s still trying to sell the lie that he didn’t lie.

Well as long as he apologizes for getting caught in his lies, it should be okay. /s

I wouldn’t think anyone would want to put TRUST in him now, he violated all the trust of the veterans who DID fight.

Yes, getting caught can be such a b*tch.
I hope he has a long retirement, starting now, to contemplate his many lies.

How about “I repent of my lying and beg for forgiveness. I have dishonored my uniform, my Corps and my fellow Marines in addition to my office and the people of Connecticut.”
That might do for starters. Then he could finish by resigning and withdrawing from public office.
To: NormsRevenge
Anything short of...
“I apologize from the bottom of my heart for lying about my military service and for stealing the valor of genuine Vietnam combat veterans. I did so strictly for selfish political expediency, to get myself elected, and this was a totally unacceptable lapse in judgment on my part. I therefore resign my position as Connecticut’s Attorney General and withdraw my candidacy for the US Senate, both effective immediately.”
...is not accepted.
To: NormsRevenge
To: Tarpon
Exactamundo. The only people who would have standing to forgive him are those whose valor he sought to steal.
To: NormsRevenge
Did he apologize for pretending to be someone he is not? Did he express regret for stealing honor away from those who did serve?

Misstatements my foot. A lie is a lie, is a lie. Doesn’t he understand what a lie is?
