I'll miss a few minutes of CoastToCoastAM Bush bashing.. Norry won't tolerate and criticism of President Obama so guests with criticism of government and for any reason have to mention a president to blame they must blame Bush.
As bad as smoking is, in the opinion of many, what LBJ did was real revulsion. That is, if I understood the author of In the President's Secret Service: Behind the Scenes with Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect Ronald Kessler correctly. During a broadcast interview promoting the book he talked about LBJ.
I don't even want to think about it but it was typical LBJ who I consider to be Rasputin's evil twin. The bad one.
When the Russians were finally able to kill Rasputin for sure and just to be sure they later dug him up and burned his body. I've often thought that might be the safe thing to do with LBJ's body.

It sounds like he was referring to what the press had done to the troops. Levin named the one writer prior to that. His rant was about betrayal by the leaker and the willingness, eagerness even, of the press to tell the world what we were up to in Iraq and Afghanistan. “Why don’t you just shoot them in the back?”
Sorry I’m so imprecise, but I was distracted by a family member at about the time of Levin’s hyperbole.
Thinking about it, maybe it’s good that our non-leader power holder will not be present. The sound of our dead military rolling over in their graves in protest would cause an earthquake. Let them Rest In Peace.

Okay, let's start againI'm an alarmist. I'm just a right wing alarmist.
We should be happy that Obama's not going to the Arlington National Cemetery.
We should be happy that he's not going to the breakfast for the Goldstar Families who've lost loved ones in a military conflict.
We should be glad that he's not a militarist.
We should all be happy that he's downplaying the military.
Because we don't really need a military.
What we need are... well, not the military exactly. We certainly don't need guns.
We need something along the lines of, ummm, men who march with wooden guns. And sort of wooden tanks.
And the ships are being used properly: I'm glad that they're not firing a shot.
It's very good that we haven't fired one shot at Iran or at North Korea.
It's better that they are used basically as social service agencies with propellers.
It's good to take children from the inner cities and give them a uniform and shoes and let them become pregnant on the ship.
Because that's what the feminists want. That's what they expect out of the military.
The military is not meant for defending America. The military is meant to get the children off the streets so they can just have sex on the ships, get pregnant, and then raise a child on the taxpayers' dime.You don't want to know any of that because no one tells you that.
It's the best kept secret in the U.S. Navy.
It's why not a shot is fired anymore.
It's why we have to call in the Spanish or the Portuguese navy to take on the pirates because our navy has become useless.

I just downloaded Levin’s podcast. The segment in question begins at 1:15:20.
And the Left does sabotage America. I’m looking at an article today. The New York Slimes. Then I’m reading something at CBS news. I’m reading something in [pause] in our papers all across the country now, endangering this nation, endangering our armed forces, revealing our, our most important secrets to the enemy.
That’s why you folks in the media are hated by the American people. That’s why you old newspapers and networks are dying! Cuz Americans love this country. They love their young men and women in uniform and they don’t appreciate when you take our strategies and basically email them to the enemy.

Levin: In other words, somebody in the Obama administration — a secret directive written by General David Petraus — somebody in the Obama administration is a complete traitor and should be found and charged and, dare I say, found guilty, receive the most severe punishment. And you know what it is.
TOL: “The document’s existence was disclosed for the first time yesterday....”
“The seven page document, seen by the NY Times....”
Levin: So. Somebody showed it to the NY Times. “C’mon in my office. I wanna show ya something.”
TOL: “It remains classified. It was written in September....”
Levin: This is a leak. A devastating leak. That has weakened this nation. David Martin, reporter at CBS news....
OK Wm, here’s what you needed to hear precisely.
Levin: A lot of us, most of us, do not have kids in uniform, over here, overseas, or anywhere else. But there are families that DO. And their kids are better than the rest of us.
