Chris Christie to teacher: If you don’t like my education budget, find a new job

But borough teacher Rita Wilson, a Kearny resident, argued that if she were paid $3 an hour for the 30 children in her class, she’d be earning $83,000, and she makes nothing near that.

“You’re getting more than that if you include the cost of your benefits,” Christie interrupted.

When Wilson, who has a master’s degree, said she was not being compensated for her education and experience, Christie said:

“Well, you know then that you don’t have to do it.” Some in the audience applauded…

“Your union said that is the greatest assault on public education in the history of the state,” Christie said. “That’s why the union has no credibility, stupid statements like that.”

Someone has to make up for the missing or diminished anatomy in most of the other Republicans out there.

When Wilson, who has a master’s degree, said she was not being compensated for her education and experience

Apparently the degree is not in economics.

I admit there is more I need to know.

But I will say this: on the basis of that press conference video, I would pull the lever for him, no questions asked.

So she wants 3.00 for each kid?

I can hire a nanny for less and I get to go out to dinner with my hubby.

I educate my kids (both are two years ahead of where they would be in PS) for around 200.00 a year.

Lady, go blow.

A man who says things like this should not be a governor.

He should be president!

I am proud to say that I voted for him. At the time, I was a little concerned that he might be a RINO.

Happily, my concerns have evaporated!

He's what the country needs to survive, a fearless leader who's not a politician.

Although Christie is a tenor, and Fiorello LaGuardia was a bass/baritone with a thick, gravelly New Yawk accent, I can hear LaGuardia's cadences when Christie speaks.

And like Giuliani, Christie uses the LaGuardia good cop/bad cop technique when dealing with the press. When dealing with political opponents, he uses the LaGuardia technique of constant attack, saying things that need to be said, but others fear to say for giving offense.

New Jersey needed a LaGuardia figure, and now they have one. The state's Democrats may well end up the way Tammany Hall did after LaGuardia was through with them.

Excellent job governor.

Anyway this teacher has an extremely overrated view of herself and how much she should earn. She works 9 months a year, barely full time job in these nine months, she has over 6-7 weeks vacation/holidays during those nine months, and 3 full month summer vacation, and she expects to be paid $ 83,000 a year? What here education anyway? Master degree in some silly non scientific major?

From this video he seems to be the real deal. If only we had about 500 more like him in congress. He’s said more of substance in this 4 minute clip than ‘The 0ne’ said since immaculation day.
