Before Obama recently appointed him to White House counsel, Bauer was the lead Perkins Coi atty that has shut down/manipulated all the many legal inquiries into the release of Obama’s academic, personal and professional records..to the tune of 2 million dollars plus.
In the most aggressive case, Bauer theatened Attorney Gary Kreep with a big bucks lawsuit if Kreep continued to ask for release of Obama’s Occidental College transcripts-Bauer demanded Occidental slam the door shut on records release in the nick of time—Occidental was on the verge of making it public on Kreep’s request.
The cherry on top of the sundae: Bauer is married to former WH communications director ( “Mao is my favorite philosopher” ) Anita Dunn.
