"The American Pundit explains that the bill “would put the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation behind struggling pensions for union workers.” Casey claims that he is introducing the bill in order to “save jobs and help people.”

Wonder which unions this bill would cover. Wonder why they aren't covered by PBGC already. According to the PBGC website they are funded by insurance premiums from said pension funds.

Are we talking about bailing out union pension funds that did not participate in PBGC?

Given the current regime in Washington, “save jobs and help people” is sounding more like a socialist mantra.
