The thing I wonder is why he did something last year, and not this? Is it just he and his people felt under more pressure the first year, and now they don’t care for appearances anymore? I wonder if this year, it is either his or Michelle’s decision, while last year, it was staffers’.

I don’t ride, but I think some of those trekking to DC might consider a shorter destination .... Chicago.

FYI, Reagan, Bush Sr., and Bush Jr. did not attend every Memorial day at Arlington while President. But for them, I don't think there was any question about their loyalty to our Vets.
