White House continues deepwater drilling ban, delays Alaska project By Ben Geman - 05/27/10 10:42 AM ET

The White House will continue a ban on new deepwater oil-and-gas drilling permits for six months and will also delay drilling in shallower Arctic waters off Alaska’s coast, administration officials said.

President Barack Obama plans to announce tougher offshore safety oversight at a news conference Thursday. The administration is also canceling a planned lease sale in the western Gulf of Mexico and another off Virginia’s coast.

While he continues to fund ULTRA-deep ocean drilling (7,000-9,300 feet) off the coast of Brazil for the benefit of Soros.

Have you noticed that Obama wants to ban everything for 6 months? Jewish settlements in Israel, offshore oil drilling. . .

Nope...It's gonna go like this...

We've had this terrible disaster...and it's costing a lot of money and a lot of people are out of work...people who do not get unemployment. We need a NEW fund to take care of this disaster and any future disaster.

And further, I, Barak Obama...am going to rob you workers until you bow!!!

Does he plan to be “king of the world” in 6 months?
What is going to happen at that time?
Oh, Yeah, he wants to wait until after the Nov elections and then he can change his views to accomodate the existing situation.
He is “toast”. The American people have seen thru his transparent self!

I heard someone say something very profound yesterday:

Not a single peep out of Greenpeace on this oil disaster, why?

My other point would be that not one person has said that if we were allowed to drill on land that this would have never happened.

Can anyone clarify how far out International waters start?

I always thought it was 12 miles that we could control. Everything beyond that is INTERNATIONAL waters.

NObama should have no say in anything that goes on more than 12 miles out.
