Basically, the writer is saying, Wesley Donahue who worked for Romney in the past, was involved heavily in pushing the Rumor all last year according to the email provided by Will Forks....Now considering that Romney did endorse Nikki, some are wondering why would Donahue push this story now, if he did at all? The speculations is speculation but does make sense in a way:
Many expect Palin to run for President and win the Iowa caucuses (she has strong support there) even stronger if Huckabee isn't running); many expect Mitt to do very well in the New Hampshire Primary
The biggest contest after those contests is South Carolina....this is where Palin obviously benefited from endorsing Nikki Haley and literally pulled her out from the bottom to the lead; Haley is in locked step with Palin and a Governor on the side of a Presidential candidate like Palin in SC could doom Mitt's chances for a decent showing; especially since Martinez (another of Palin's Pink Elephants) in New Mexico has a huge lead for Governor as well...it would leave Mitt with very little room to maneuver since his advisers are planning to abandon most of the South Primaries, win the East Coast states and finish strong with the West Primaries.....
Liberty Pundits:
"More ridiculousness from South Carolina swirling. Consultants gone wild! Wow, this is soooo NOT surprising.
Now, and this is notably absent from the newsmans report. Who is paying the consultant Wesley Donahue, who is leaking all this? Also, who is paying Will Folks?
Oh wait, lookie here, Wesley Donahue is a consultant, or has been, for Mitt Romney. Now things get more interesting. http://www.fitsnews.com/2007/06/20/sc-obama-staffer-helped-launch-pro-romney-websites/#comment-1880
I have heard that South Carolina politics is massively dirty. Could it be that Mitt Romney is deep-sixing Nikki Haley in anticipation of his presidential run? This, of course, is pure speculation, but there is no question that the Palin endorsement of Nikki Haley helped her and that Haley being governor would help Palin and whomever Palin endorses.
This could get interesting. If it's connected to Romney, this could backfire big time.
I heard that as well....but I do believe that anyway Mitt and the GOP is running scared that Palin’s (pink elephants) like SC, NM and other places might pull Palin over the top...especially if Huckabee doesn’t run....I mean Palin has to run an effective campaign and so does Mitt to win the nomination, but on paper it sure would scare me if I was a Mitt adviser
There have been whispers in SC for some time now about the goings-on associated with Team Romney and the coming 2012 campaign.
Mitt had everything lined-up nicely - A Governor and Senator (maybe both Senators) set to help him win SC, and an existing machine from 2008. Palin came in and made Haley the front-runner, and Haley has expressed a favoring to Sarah Palin.
Gresham Barrett has a lot of Romney sympathizers in his camp, and is very cozy with Mitt himself (though Mitt endorsed Haley). The best outcome for Mitt right now is to have Haley lose and instantly back Barrett and march with him throughout SC campaigning.
I don't know if this is a design with Team Romney's direct fingerprints; but I do know that (as demonstrated many times here at FR) team Romney seems to be remarkably coincidentally connected to events like this every time they get posted. It's never more than one degree of separation.
it makes sense.....it doesn’t make sense if you are a FR moonbat or a MSM member who thinks she is dumb...she knows what she is doing
This is so funny. Every time I read about this story I get a good laugh. It’s funny how many people are stupid enough to believe this BS and it’s even funnier that people who are out to destroy Nikki Haley are dumb enough to pull a stunt like this. Go Nikki!!
Romney's surrogate Whitman is going to be the GOP nominee for governor. Win or lose (and she's likely to lose to Moonbeam), that puts her and her fundrasing/organizing contacts in Romney's debt.
Fironia probably has a better chance of defeating Boxer than Whitman does against Brown. (Boxer pretty much loses to anything with a pulse at the moment, but that campaign has yet to really begin.) A successful statewide campaign indebted to Palin might very well offset Romney's residency and Whitman advantages, at least enough to force him to contest California, which means he would pay less attention to other places that might be toss-ups.
