Clearly from the tenor of some responses to this post it is totally inapporpriate to have fun on Memorial Day.
Instead you should pray and meditate over those who have died in the country’s wars.

Now, do I think the Honroed Dead should be remembered? Absolutely. There should be parades and people putting flowers and flags on graves.

But I think it’s also important for all to remember that one of the things we fight for is freedom of speech and expression. I want people to have fun, even if it does occasionally touch on things some people might might consider sacred.

Wow. I should have finished my coffee and done a better job of proofreading.

Theres nothing wrong with looking at Sci-Fi warrior heroes, and memorial day is as good a day as any to do it. The mistake is linking the actions of, lets face it, made up heroes, with the stories of real people.
