and that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel only worked through former President Bill Clinton to discuss "options of service on a Presidential or other Senior Executive Branch Advisory Board." The law says directly or indirectly and says that a position is enough - it doesn't have to be a paying job - when the White House is making an offer to affect an election. The memo says no, but the trail of evidence says yes.

"that the allegations of improper conduct rest on factual errors and a lack of basis in the law."Is this similar to "No controlling authority"?

The WH memo doesn't refute anything and as a matter of fact, it verifies the WH offered Sestak a job to drop out of the race which is a crime.

How would an unpaid appointment to an obscure Presidential committee be an incentive to forego a run for the U. S. Senate? “Gee, just what I hoped for: an uncompensated seat on a nowhere committee. Possibly more work for no money.”

You have to give the journalist credit. Must have been quite the feat to write this article with his face planted so firmly against Rahm Emmanual’s backside.

This whole explanation does not pass the smell test. Serving on an “Advisory Board” is not a job. Sestak says he was offered a job. We need a better excuse than this.

In a memo released to the press, White House counsel Robert Bauer says no White House staff made such a proposition to Sestak and that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel only worked through former President Bill Clinton to discuss "options of service on a Presidential or other Senior Executive Branch Advisory Board."That sounds like a 'confirmation' not a 'refutation.'

It must have really irked der Leader to have to beg Clinton to fall on the granade. I wonder what he offered him?
Funny how this works almost completely into the Blago negotiations. All straw men. Just like in Goodfellows, Pauli became so paranoid, no one could speak directly to him, only through one trusted minion.
