In reports that appear to have been missed in the flurry of reporting this afternoon on the Obama administration's release of a cursory report on its in-house investigation on the administration's attempted bribery of Rep. Joe Sestak, CNN's John King reported that a White House source told him Barack Obama was kept in the dark about the bribe attempt until "recent days."
Posting on Twitter around 1 p.m. EDT, King reported in three Tweets what his sources were telling him about the unfolding scandal:
WH Source: prez didnt know about rahm/clinton/sestak talks until recent days; GOP pressing for more details.
WH memo lacks important details. Source says COS Emanuel did not check with counsel office before enlisting Clinton. #sestak
Svl other WH aides knew of Emanuel/Clinton effort. WH memo doesn't mention. #sestak
King has not posted to his Twitter account since posting these three reports.
Is someone in the White House trying to create a case for Obama's innocence in the Sestak scandal? It sure looks that way. It's not credible, but it shows an acknowledgement by some in the Obama administration that Obama himself could be in serious trouble if he is found to have been involved in the Sestak bribe attempt.
This is looking more like the Watergate cover-up with each passing hour. (And we know how that ended.)
Sounds like Rahm is about to be a speedbump.

No president knows everything his aides discuss with others, but it’s highly unlikely that he wouldn’t know about offers that involve cabinet positions. Unless he’s not in charge, that is.

Does anyone find it strange that Clinton just happens to show up yesterday for a photo op with Obama and then has a private lunch with him? They must honestly think we are stupid!
This rumor may have been started by Obama’s admin after the fact to throw us off what the real job was.

IMO, they would not have involved Clinton in this mess unless they absolutely had to. Which means that it probably leads directly to Zero. Otherwise, they would have just tossed whoever they needed to under the bus with the rest of their human sacrifices!
back in the eighties, i was a democrat.... hey i was young okay? while waiting at one of those 10 minute oil change places i was reading a magazine. it had this page full of what i call “HE SAID WHAT?” quotes and one quote in particular stood out. GHW Bush had said, in regards to the iran/contra scandal crap, “I deny ever having an opinion on anything.” for better or worse that was burned into my mind permanently. i think it is possible that the phrase “white house source says obama ignorant” may also stay imbedded in my brain for a very long time.

What did Benedict Arlen know and when did he know it? There must have been more than one “you promised!” conversation with the pres__ent resulting in a “don’t worry, we’ll take care of it” brushoff.
I don't think so because it implicates Clinton in dirty politics and he would be guilty of a crime also.
In fact I'm surprised Clinton did it. Not because it's morally wrong (Clinton doesn't have any morals), but it was stupid. It looks to me as if Obama is holding something over the Clintons.
Clinton has been thrown under the bus for someone else. Clinton may have talked to Sestak, but it looks like there were numerous discussions and Sestak said he talked to Clinton only once for about a minute.
This story isn't going away. I've got a feeling a few more closer to Obama are going under that bus.
