As he did last year, Obama today declared June "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month." But this year the announcement comes as Congress began moving to repeal the controversial “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy used by the US military when dealing LGBT service members.
President Obama hailed the Congressional moves, writing in a statement: “Our military is made up of the best and bravest men and women in our nation, and my greatest honor is leading them as Commander-in-Chief. This legislation will help make our Armed Forces even stronger and more inclusive by allowing gay and lesbian soldiers to serve honestly and with integrity.”
The Senate Armed Services Committee passed an amendment that would do away with the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy and allow LGBT service members to serve openly, without fear of being discharged. The House of Representatives is expected to pass similar legislation.
“The legislation, the compromise that was worked out at the White House, is respectful of the fact that there is a review going on, speaking at all levels to the military across the country and in theater about how we should go forward,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi said.
Under the compromise, the policy will not take effect until after the Pentagon has concluded its’ review of how the policy change might have an impact on the armed forces and how it can be implemented. That review is scheduled to be finished by December.

I'm absolutely certain obama celebrates this every day.
Do these folks need a whole month of their own to celebrate their existance?
As far as I know, they represent around 2-5% of the population. Maybe they could get by with a week?
We have so many pressure groups that want their own month or week or day, everyone needs to play nice and share.
They aren’t that special, Mr. President. Obama tells America that June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. Memorial DAY is Monday, but that’s a day too long for a very busy President to remember those who died for our country to be free. Mothers get a day. Fathers get a day. What makes homosexuals and lesbians so special that all America gets a reminder? Especially considering that they are defined by their bedroom activity which is contrary to nature and God’s design.
If it wasn’t so tragic for the country, I’d just sit back and enjoy the continuing debacle that is the Obozo administration. June is LGBT MONTH?! Announced on the same Memorial Day weekend that finds him too busy to visit Arlington?
Wouldn’t wear a flag pin. Didn’t cover his heart when appropriate. “Spread the wealth around.” 57 states. “Corpse men.” No flags at the presser. Won’t produce a valid BC. All school history missing or scrubbed. Career associations with known criminals and Communists. Surrounds himself with unelected “czars” accountable only to him. Has a thing for women wearing no makeup and comfortable shoes. Isn’t quite sure about this responsibility thing when dealing with disasters. World apology tour. Bows to dictators and tyrants. Agrees with anti-American diatribes from foreign leaders. Refuses to defend our borders.
I could go on and on, but my stomach is getting upset.
Anybody still think this guy is proud American? Or has any appreciation for our hard working, God fearing, tax paying citizens?

Just be thankful they each didn’t get their own month, otherwise we’d be stuck “celebrating” them for four months instead of one! (Actually, I probably shouldn’t even mention this as it may them give an idea they might not otherwise have occurred to them.)

Pride? The proud are so blinded by their pride that they think they have no need of God and that God should accept them as they are because they deserve His acceptance.
