excellent article...the utter failure started with the failure of the process in the very begining long before a whole was drilled...long before the well took a kick....long before the coast guard sank the rig and added additional problems to the damaged well.
The feds have plenty of blame...and sacrificing a few top feds will not get to the root cause...the unions that protect a slew of affirmative action flunkies.

The last would be most damaging, and deservedly so, to Zero's administration and the Dem agenda. Will there ever be an investigation of this?
As others have said above, unions, or more specifically government unions are the problem, (ie, never a solution). And when you add ' the right to grieve' the concept of government doesn't even pass the laugh test! Every union keeps 'grievance files' on every employee/issue. Every union meeting (in some cases) then becomes a laughable 'nagging wife' pre-divorce session! Taking the concept of never let a good crisis go to waste, unions never let a good grievance go to waste....and the ending is never pretty! Strikes, work stoppages, etc. SEIU is relatively young...give it time to age and we'll have endless entertainment (for those that like picket lines, etc). ...and who knows someday instead of a Community Organizer-in-chief, we may get lucky and have a Union Organizer-in-chief, tho' I can't imagine what the difference would be!
When I read an exceptional bit of journalism on FR, I'm never surprised when I scroll up to see it's a Townhall.com piece.
All of its writers are exceptional....and immensely readable.
It's comforting to see that real journalism is not entirely dead in today's corrupt media world...but is still alive and expertly kickin' butt on internet political blogs such as Townhall.
