Video taken by IDF naval boat shows the passengers of the Mavi Marmara, one of the ships in the 'Free Gaza' Flotilla, violently attacking IDF soldiers who were trying to board the ship after having sent repeated requests for the boat to change course.
Large groups of passengers surrounded soldiers and beat them with metal poles and chairs, and threw one soldier over the side of the ship. Some passengers grabbed pistols from the IDF soldiers and opened fire. As a result of the attacks, seven IDF soldiers were injured, and nine of the passengers were killed.
The 'Free Gaza' Flotilla had publicly insisted on their non-violent intentions, however their violent attack on the IDF soldiers was clearly premeditated. They had knives, metal rods, firebombs and other items ready to use.
“Repel Boarders” is universal.
Doesn’t matter if they are terrorist jihadis or Disco fans.
They should have just laid down and grinned?
Board a ship, expect resistance. Duh.
They are supposed to be bad guys, these folks on the ship.
Do we need sucky bad guys who give up when boarded?

Israel should have been better prepared for resistance from the muzzie “peace activists”. The commandos should have shot with live bullets first, rather than with paint balls. PC doesn’t work with muzzies. Israel should know better.
I can't argue with that.
But outrage over the bad guys fighting back is stupid.
What did you expect them to do?

I guess I misunderstood you. I expected the IDF to board as if the “peace activists” were the enemy combatants that they are. In a perfect world they would have just sunk the flotilla and been done with it.
I also would not have put my people in harms way by boarding them. They were completely out numbered.

The flotilla was attempting to engage a blockade of Gaza.
Any resaon why the ID should give in? The international waters reasoning does not hold in this case.
I just can’t believe the IDF forces were supposed to take over a boat filled with 600 rabid Jew-hating muzzies and muzzie sympathizers with paint ball guns as their primary weapon. Whose idea was that?
The US Navy and the US Coast Guard board ships in IW every single day looking for drugs.

Well I never said they were smart, but that would have been the preferred outcome. Actually proceeding to the port the Israeli Navy directed them to would have been the ideal outcome.

Personally I think the Israelis should have sunk them in the middle of the night as they were en route. Maybe that will happen to future convoys if any are attempted. The Israelis can certainly point to this incident as justification.
