This was such a sad advertisement. It doesn’t make me interested in eating at McDonald’s; it makes me think about the heartbreak of that poor deceived father.
That’s kinda what I got out of it, too.
Just sad, not heartwarming, funny, charming...

Exactly right. It brings to mind the tragedy of AIDS and the son’s lower life expectency.
I felt bad for the dad too.
