Chris Gibson, a retired U.S. Army colonel and currently a candidate for U.S. Congress, said Monday he sees evidence of hope for this countrys renewal in the character of some of its soldiers now being remembered. He was speaking at Hudsons Memorial Day service at the Fourth Street Park.
Gibson said that on Sunday he had been to the town of Horicon, Warren County, for a ceremony honoring Horicon native Jeremiah Monroe. Pfc. Monroe was a combat engineer whose skill was to diffuse improvised explosive devices, which Gibson called our enemys primary method of attack. On Sept. 17, 2009, he said, the enemy struck first ... and destroyed the tank he was in. He left this earth at the age of 31. Well always remember Jeremiah Monroe.
Next Gibson recalled a soldier he knew and served with, Sgt. Chris Pusateri, who loved to hunt and fish. They were both stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. after a tour in Iraq.

Thanks for posting. Col Gibson looks real good. Hope he can unseat Scott Murphy.
Thanks. Upstate NY Guy, which District do you live in? 20? They could sure use your help, there are so many voters in the District who would love to vote for Chris Gibson, but they need to find out about him first!
