I am not a man. And none of you needs to explain to me this dreadfully clever prose. I understand completely; but I do not agree that it's just harmless fun. It is cowardly to exploit the image of a genuinely peaceful people who are real people, who have nothing to do with you, who have done nothing to you, and who are not here to defend themselves.

I have met many Amish individuals. People who don't know them really aren't justified in sliming them, however self-titillating one might find such juvenile humor.
I am not a liberal; nor am I asking for any governmental favors for a group who deserves free-will protection by conservatives because of what they are and what they do and what they do not do. I am challenging you folks who think of yourselves as conservatives to show simple respect and common courtesy to a gentle, hard-working, humble, straightforward, self-reliant and self-sequestered community who, If they knew of the repetitive acts of sarcasm at their expense within this community, would feel desecrated and threatened.
