The Coming Resignation of Barack Obama

Months ago, I predicted in this column that President Obama would so discredit himself in office that he wouldn't even be on the ballot in 2012, let alone have a prayer of being reelected. Like President Johnson in 1968, who had won a much bigger victory four years previously than Obama did in 2008, President Obama will be so politically defunct by 2012 that he won't even try to run for reelection.

I am now ready to predict that President Obama will not even make it that far. I predict that he will resign in discredited disgrace before the fall of 2012. Like my previous prediction, that is based not just on where we are now, but where we are going under his misleadership.

Is the President Above the Law?

Watergate was supposed to have established that Presidents are not above the law. If that is so, President Obama may have to resign for breaking the law in the Sestak affair.

Or I will predict we find he is “committed.” Recall the doctor’s orders to moderate his alcohol use a bit. His regime will work to cover his abuse up, but it will be his downfall and theirs.

His ego is way too big to resign.

I think the wrinkle in your theory (no pun intended) is Plugs Biden.

Incredibly, Plugs is still well-liked and fairly well-regarded by the Left and LSM. They even continue to think of him as a foreign policy expert! The point is that if the doodoo really hits the fan, and even the Left become a little scared for our country, they may actually be willing to entertain early release for BHO since they would then get a “stronger” Rat into the presidency. This may even be bolstered by them coming to the conclusion that Obambi will not be able to win, or even able to win a primary, in 2012.

The idea may become squeeze Obambi out now; get a “better” “stronger” “more experienced” Rat in (Plugs Biden); use Biden to reposition the Rats for 2012 presidential race and get a “do-over” generally for the Rats (up and down ticket); all is well.

I could see that happening.

I think this in an interesting comparison. I am not saying The Poser is Der Fuhrer, but it is thought provoking. The left calls EVERYONE Hitler, so it tends to lose a bit of meaning coming from them...

WHO AM I?
I was born in one country, raised in another.. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women.

I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer.

Later in life, questions arose over my real name.

My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.

I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn’t follow christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.

I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them.

That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career.

I wrote a book about my strugges growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.

I became active in local politics in my 30’s then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s. They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything. That reinforced my conceit.

I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks.

I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego. At first, my political campaign focused on my country’s foreign policy. I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my country.

But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country’s economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed & housed for free.

I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.

I called mine “A People’s Campaign” and that sounded good to all people.

I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics & was able to gain widespread popular support.

I knew that, if I merely offered the people ‘hope’ , together we could change our country and the world.

So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include “persecuted minorities” like the Jews. My true views were not widely known & I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nation’s leader.

I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined these people I associated with.

I’m glad they didn’t. Then I became the most powerful man in the world. And the world learned the truth.

Who am I? .........

ADOLPH HITLER!
Who did you think I was talking about?

Zero would have to recognize failure in order to resign.

And the Democrats in Congress would have to grow some principles to be willing to stand up to his lawlessness - but show utterly no signs of doing they, they aid and abet his stonewalls.

I think Kim the Ill, Ahmed the Iranian, and Osama’s successors are pushing hard right now for major blowup because they understand that the chance of success will decline after a November sea change.

Yep.

Predicting the resignation of Obama is like throwing a hail mary pass.

Yeah, but how many times did Staubach launch one that would win the game for the Cowboys - it seems like every time they played the Redskins

No way. Never. Ain't gonna happen. A pathological narcissist such as Pres. Obama will not resign. He is incapable of comprehending that he could be wrong.

Barry Soetoro will resign. All the ego stuff aside, there will be no choice. With an accumulation of negatives, the Dems will have to save what’s left of the party. There will be a walk to the hill by senior members of both parties. And he will be told it is time to go.

Biden is an old snake and if the WH tries to make him take the fall for the Sestak crime, well, grab popcorn.

I posted a different take on the "we'd get Biden" theory upthread here at # 83.

He bowed out gracefully. That’s something that democrats starting with bill clinton seem to be completely unable to do!

They won't even leave gracefully when they lose an election.

It’s not just him,

there are many sheeperals that believe that no leftist in elected office can be or do wrong,

and that all their intentions are as pure as wind driven snow.

I watched a bit of it and it struck me that this administration was trying VERY hard to make VP-Biden appear exceptionally presidential.

I don't know that it's the WH pushing this, but there may be elements, and of course Plugs himself, that are beginning to see this "Biden becomes President" angle.

Your observation fits in very well with the theory I posted here at # 83.

As much as I would like to see this happen. I just don’t think it will. With that being said though. If he loses control over both the Senate and the House of Representatives? Well then I think the possibility will go much higher. He just doesn’t like being told NO. And he just may leave in a fit of pique. Especially if his agenda is stymied.

Dont forget the dictators solution to loss of internal power: external war. Americans need a big distraction to keep O in office like World War III. God help us...

That’s rigt and again Nixon provides us with the example of a cheated but honorable patriot who put his country above his own desires. He knew he won in 1960 and that the Kennedy’s were guilty of massive fraud in WV and Chicago, among other places. But he didn’t think it would be good for the Republic if he contested the results and fought it out. Again the rats proved Nixon right and they are diminished in comparision.
