You can’t write this stuff! The Left keeps doing and saying insane things without any idea what it looks like. A second grader would size up the situation of an antagonist writer moving 15 feet away from a famous family as JUST NOT RIGHT.

If Ann Coulter rented a home 15 feet from Al Gore or Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid.... the media would certainly NOT rush to defend Ann. Then if Ann invoked the Nazis to complain about the unfair treatment of her, sparks would fly out of the Left’s heads.

And, in one of those stopped clock being correct twice a day, the liberals would be correct. I'd be critical of Ann if she did such a thing. But, of course, it would never happen. Ann has a life of her own, and would never pull what this hack writer is trying to do.

This is just as constricting for the hack as it is for the Palins, arguably more so because the Palins can just go out and do summer things out of town while he's stuck in a house next to an empty house with a very tall fence.

It seems to me to have gotten worse lately. Take, for example, the "Bush caused Algore's marriage problems ten years later" meme we've been hearing over the last couple of days. Or this one, wherein a known falsifier of information who has already devastated one man's life with it just happens to take an advance from Random House for a book on a private family, travels across the country, and moves in next door to them. The protestations of innocence on the part of his defenders are hilarious and apparently earnest, and frankly I've heard more convincing stories from a chocolate-smeared 4-year-old denying he was in the cookie jar.

This happens because none of their peers in a position to intervene manages to tell them how ridiculous they look before they go public with this stuff. At some point you no longer notice you're bleeding, apparently, but the ratings show it.
