I have been posting Neighborhood Bully on FR for years—almost every Dylan thread I participate in.
One of Bob’s best. A driving, relentless, song—not so much angry as it is mocking and basically saying “screw you, we’re gonna do what we have to do to survive.”
Dylan, though he imbibed a bit in the Hussein Kool-Aid, is at heart a man who is not the hippie some of his contemporaries hoped. He is in many ways a man of solid values.
Somewhat widely believed, but cannot be proved. Dylan made some typically vague, cryptic, perhaps even sarcastic comments about The One.
Bob don't drink Kool Aid. He drinks railroad gin.
