ON HER MAJESTY*S SECRET SERVICE was one of the best Bond flicks

Choice or cars in 007 movies could have been mucho better

The red Ferrari 355 GTS in GOLDENEYE would have been better if the earlier less powerful Ferrari 308 GTS (Magnum PI) had been used in the DB5 chase

The new (and bloated) red *71 Mustang MACH I used in DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER should have been a red *69 or *70 Mustang MACH I Super Cobra Jet 428ci - *64 to *70 are the classic Mustang styles that Ford now is basing new Mustangs on - See the huge auction prices at the Barrett-Jackson Auctions

The bright green Jaguar XKR used in DIE ANOTHER DAY should have been a modified BRG Jaguar TYPE-E Series III V12 - fitted with twin-turbos

Ian Fleming*s books were filled with Bond updating his vintage classic Bentley*s engines and adding superchargers

Car buffs love nostagia and Retro-Mods

But then movie producers are not all geniuses - and Ford was supplying the Astons, Jags, and Ford movie cars

The DAD cars had Ford Explorer 4WDs fitted with Mustang BOSS 302 engines

Hiring some pro-Grand Am drivers would have been better - and safer

I've always enjoyed books more than the movies made from them. We form our own ‘images’ of the hero's and heroines. I read the James Bond books and enjoyed them but when the movies were made, they were made for men - you understand...

Everything was made ‘excessive’ in the movies I believe. You are the car expert but whoever made each movie wanted the car they wanted in each of them. Movie makers don't stick to the details of the book writers I've found.

I always liked Sean Connery, only for his good looks I guess. I haven't ever read up on Connery's life but James Bond was not an especially admirable man. Flemming even wrote that himself.
