How does a calorie restricted diet affect an animal in the wild? Or does the low calorie diet weaken you so much that you can't live without being both protected and imprisoned by that cage.

There is no way to draw any conclusion either way, because you cannot know how long a person would have lived without life-long calorie restrictions.
There is no given WRT that factor and there cannot be a given.
The Bible says the day and hour of each person’s death is decided by God from the foundation of the Earth. So, restrict yourself all you care to, but when your hour comes and there are no natural health reasons for your death, maybe a grand piano will drop from the 14th floor right on top of you. Splat! Bet you wish you’d had more double deep chocolate cheesecake before then, huh?
