I like Paul Ryan but he cannot be POTUS in 2012. Let him run for governor of WI first... build a good track record as a solid conservative executive, get reelected and make a national name for implementing sound conservative policies that produce solid results for his state... Then we’ll all support him for President. It worked for Reagan and it worked for GWB.... and some on the other side would say that it worked for Clinton.... not so well for Carter.. the one recent exception.
I think an SP / PR ticket (in that order) would be great. I also am impressed with Ryan, but other than being a VP and taking office after succeeding a president (a’la Harry Truman) has any congressman ever gone directly to the White House? Governorships seem to be best launchpad with a Senate seat a distant second.
Christi/Ryan
Should Gov. Chris Christie decide to run for president, he has my backing above everybody else.
I admire and love this man...he is fearless with a backbone. He speaks straight. Also, he doesnt screech in a high pitched voice when speaking, which means I can listen to him from beginning to end.
Oh yes, and also, he doesnt wear a pasted phony plastic smile on his face while delivering a speech.
I could dig it.
Until 2008 no Kenyan Marxist Senator had never been able to make the jump...
True enough. Strange and interesting times.
I heard it, too...her and Ryan in a pres/vp situation would be great.
