But the pro-Pali debunker recognized his own friend’s voice on the tape. The voice of a friend who was definitely on one of the flotilla ships.

Looks to me like the debunker ends up lending quite a bit of credence to the recording.

The person identified as speaking is said to be Huwaida Arraf, one of the flotilla organisers.

She says:

WOMAN'S VOICE "We have permission from the Gaza Port Authority to enter." MAN'S VOICE 2 "We're helping Arabs go against the US, don't forget 9/11 guy".

Two problems with Arraf's voice message. She definitely was not on the Marmana, but on another boat. So it is not a transmission with Marmana, as originally claimed. Moreover, she says that the statement on the tape comes from some other occasion, because in fact, on that night, they were far from shore and not yet about to enter Gaza port.

If they could id the other two speakers, it would bolster the authenticity of the tape. But there are many odd features about the different versions of the audio tape, and the way that those inflamatory comments appear to have been spliced in.
