Iran has been able to smuggle advanced technological equipment to its uranium enrichment plant in Natanz via a complex smuggling route based in Dubai, the Sunday Telegraph reported on Sunday.
According to the report, an Iranian company has purchased control systems from one of Germany's leading electronic manufacturers. The deal was negotiated with a Dubai trading company, which in turn sold Iran a range of electronic equipment for use at its enrichment facility, the British website reported.
The report comes amid growing concerns that though Iran claims its nuclear program has only peaceful aims, Tehran is in fact working toward manufacturing nuclear weapons.

Well, at least we're pressuring them. Obama used this phrase a lot during the 2008 campaign, mostly pertaining to Pakistan providing more of an effort in the WOT.
Pressure, diplomatic or otherwise, is only effective if the other party respects and fears you.
Hussein has nearly completed his task in destroying America. There are few countries, even allies, who respect us and no one fears us these days.
That's not important. The really important thing is what happened on a ferry boat in the Eastern Mediterranean. Doesn't this reporter have any sense of priorities?
Don’t believe for one minute that Germany doesnt know where that stuff is going.
Seling out he world for a buck.
Many won’t. The idea of Germans dealing with muslims on a nuclear program threatening Israel won’t sit well with some.
Assuming this is all true, I have to wonder about those that sell this kind of equipment to countries such as Iran.
Do they really think when everything goes south, and nuclear weapons are used, that they will some how not be hurt?
If I know one thing about life, I know it is often unpredictiable. When the nuclear “club” only had a few members, they understood that the use of nuclear weapons would mean everyone dies. They were very careful not to act too quickley in a crisis.
With these newest members that equation changes because unlike before, they do not care who dies, even themselves. When the next nuclear weapon is used, it will come without warning.
The unpredictabilily of it all is how will the world react?
I have a sinking feeling (pure speculation) that Iran may have several assembled nuclear devices and is delaying a test until they have several bombs secreted away form any potential Israeli strike.

The equipment was sold to Iran without the knowledge of its German manufacturer by a Dubai-based intermediary using false end-user certificates for companies in Asia, even though the sale of technology that can be used in Iran’s nuclear programme is banned under UN Security Council resolutions.
The equipment was delivered to Kalaye Electric, an Iranian company which is also subject to sanctions because of its close association with Iran’s nuclear programme. Kalaye Electric is responsible for the procurement and development of the centrifuges that are used at Natanz to enrich uranium.
The smuggling accusations were denied by Iran, which insists its nuclear programme is entirely peaceful. Its ambassador to London, Rasoul Movahedian, added that the country had no need to import or smuggle technical components.”

Iran announced Friday that is had developed a new, faster generation of centrifuges for uranium enrichment, signaling its determination to press on with its nuclear work despite possible new sanctions being sought by U.S. President Barack Obama.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had indicated earlier in the week that a “momentous” development was in the offing about Iran’s nuclear program and Friday’s announcement of a new generation of centrifuges at the Natanz enrichment facility came as little surprise.
Both Mr. Ahmadinejad and Iran’s atomic energy head Ali Akbar Salehi spoke at a ceremony marking Friday’s “Nuclear Energy Day,” amid pomp and media fanfare.
Salehi spoke at great length about Iran’s nuclear achievements, thanking Iranian scientists for their hard work, and praised President Ahmedinejad for his part in the nuclear program. He then went on to laud the most recent development.

Iran recently managed to obtain equipment critical to its uranium enrichment efforts, and which is banned by UN sanctions against the country, through a Chinese company, The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday.
According to the report, the hardware – which included valves and vacuum gauges for enrichment centrifuges – was bought by an Iranian research firm which is linked to the country’s atomic energy organization. It was purchased from an intermediary representing a Chinese company - Zheijiang Ouhai Trade Corp.
According to the report, news of the purchase reached Western officials after an email detailing the sale was sent to the International Atomic Energy Agency. An investigation has been launched into the allegations.
The valves and gauges were actually produced by a French company, KD Valves-Descote, which has denied involvement in the sale and says it does not even know how the equipment reached the Chinese firm.
