Yep. I can relate. I just did “tough love” on my stepson. Amazingly, he has found a job. Not a great job, but a job.
Reminds me of my younger brother’s friend. His step-dad told him six months before graduation...”You have two choices in life, you can be an asset to society or an @ss hole to society. I have no idea which path you will chose but I do know for a fact you won’t do either one at this house. Younger friend joined Air Force and hated step-dad for years after wards. 20 years later, he gets teary eyed that someone believed him and put him on the road having a good family of his own and a good career. Some things really don’t change.BTW, my 18 and 17 year old red dog pups have been fully briefed that failure to launch is not an option!
