In the case of the Jews, I would not say they are stupid. I would say that many are rigidly left-wing ideologically. Support for abortion on demand and same sex marriage trumps support for more practical things, like Israel’s survival.

Zactly! Most people that are ignorant of how the govt. was set up in the constitution think the president is responsible for budgets. The Dems cravenly used the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan as bargaining chips to pork up the budgets after they took over in 2006.
