This was GREAT!
I golfed at the Ptarmigan course earlier in the day and then headed up to Dan’s Bake Sale.
Fond memories of my early days as a ditto-head.

Thanks for the post. I've been hearing Rush talk about
this for almost 20 years, but never saw the video. I have
new respect for his continued remarks about the event. Looks like these people are the same kind of free citizens who have been showing up at our Tea Parties.

Flew into Ft Collins in friend Jim T.’s Bonanza and walked into town...fun day. Huge crowd. Good memory. Thanks for posting.

A blast from the past. I listening the day when Dan originally called Rush. It all steam rolled and became way bigger than anybody thought it would be.

Gee, that brings back memories. I remember the original call and how it just seemed to explode into this huge rally. It sure was a long time ago though, I was in my 2nd year of college, now I’m 36 and have 2 kids of my own in junior high.

That was Rush’s finest moment. And then he went country club, and changed for the worse.

My wife’s sister and her husband drove up from Golden and barely made it due to the traffic. If I remember correctly Dan was unemployed and his wife was a tight wad. Mic from the High Mountain brought tears to old Benders eye although Poodle is much better in a slow cooker with onions and carrots ...RIP Mic

I still have my copy of “The Way Things Ought to Be” autographed by Mrs. Dan.
