May he be safe.
I suspect God has something special in mind for my grandson. His mother had three blessings while she was pregnant, and when he was born, I was in the delivery room.
The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck three times, but he did not suffocate. I carried him from the delivery room to the nursery, and it was an honor and a privilege.
I knew, the minute I saw the cord around his neck, that he was destined for something great. I’ve never told his mother about the cord, and I think no one else has, either. But he is my hero. He will not die until he has completed the Job he was sent to Earth to do.
If he is to die in the service of his country, then the situation will be honorable, whether it comes today or in the next 20 years. Prayers are always accepted, no matter where they originate.
My grandson has much to do before his Job is done. I continue to pray for him and for his wife, that both will draw strength from the other.
You have seen things in war that you cannot explain or relate to anyone else. It’s OK. My grandson, were he under your command, would be one of those who defied your ability to discuss.
My heart is at peace, knowing that with commanders like you, my grandson is safe. Thank you so much for being such a good dad!!!
