Gartrell's report, published in Pediatrics, is the latest in a series from the U.S. National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study (NLLFS), which enrolled 154 prospective lesbian mothers between 1986 and 1992. Researchers followed them and their children as they conceived through donor insemination. Most (140) were either birth mothers or co-mothers, but 14 were single moms from the start.

Am I to believe that the gender of sexual partner and the sexual technique employed have an impact on how a child is raised? Further, that a 17 year old that is yet to live life and produce offspring is a good measure of adult success?

Regardless, the obvious junk science as far as methodology -the study is flawed on its very premise which is that lesbians are different from normal women in any way BUT sexual acrobatics and preferences...
