I realize this doesn’t need to be explained to you, however, did the accident occur because someone at BP was grossly negligent, on the level of a drunk driver? No. It’s more like any number of perfectly capable and cognizant drivers who get into deadly accidents every day. Whom, by the way, we do not throw in jail.

Also, your analogy would be better served if the case were that because of one (admittedly consequential) accident, the government were considering shutting down the trucking of vital resources, even though that is one of the few ways we can get said resource without exorbitant prices.

Are you saying BP wasn’t negligent? Your argument sounds like something Obama would come up with. Attack my analogy, break it down piece by piece making me seem like an idiot thereby invalidating my claim that BP was negligent.

Congratulations! BP and Obama should hire you and pay you for every post you make on this subject.
