Nancy Pelosi blames Republicans for nation’s ills

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, speaking to a friendly audience of progressive activists, was ready to cast blame for the country’s troubles Tuesday morning.
She blamed the exploding national debt on the Bush administration and said Democrats’ push to invest in education, job creation and health care would bring America out of its financial troubles.
“President Obama and the Democratic caucus have saved this country from a financial crisis created under the Bush administration,” Pelosi told the America’s Future Now gathering in Washington.
She blamed Republicans for de-regulating big oil, assuring the receptive crowd that BP would be held accountable for its handling of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
And she had harsh words for Wall Street, as the House and Senate get set for a final conference committee on a financial reform bill.
“No longer will recklessness on Wall Street be able to cause joblessness on Main Street,” she said. “No longer will those on Wall Street be able to privatize the gain and nationalize the risk, send the bill to the taxpayer if things don’t go their way,” she said.
She said the oil spill crisis highlighted the difference between Republicans and Democrats approach to problem solving.
“It seems to me the choice is clear,” she said. “Democrats want to rein in big oil, the Republicans say no. Democrats wanted to rein in health insurance costs, the Republicans said no. The Democrats are reigning in big banks and the Republicans are saying no.”

As I recall when Nancy became Speaker everything, and I mean everything started going to sh*t. I do recall oil at $135/bbl and her response was to outlaw 3-way lightbulbs. That sticks in my mind. It pretty much describes the intelligence of Democrats. By the same token, with oil gushing out of the Gulf they will enact a Cap and Trade tax. They don’t fix things, they loot and destroy. Its what they do.
I had to throw out some stinky chicken “breasts” that got lost in the back of the refrigerator. Testing...
Well I’m not a professional, so that this fwiw. I see pathological lying as the symptom, not the underlying cause. For that, I’m going to go with highlander’s diagnosis, with the caveat that in Pelosi’s case sociopathy has progressed [double entendre?] into full blown psychopathy. Pelosi has split with the real world, and probably couldn’t function outside her DC sinecure replete with hand-and-foot waiting aids and a thick wall of protection against the consequences of her own actions.
Again, just one person’s opinion, take it or leave it.
I wonder why her code pink hippies didn't trow tomatoes at the her..And why didn't she go on TV and down these out of control women,they sounded more like Nazi's than anyone she has accused in the past..

Just let liberals make deals behind closed doors because they know what's best for everyone, and when they come out and show everyone what they've imposed they'll like it and thank them for it. See, Pelosi really has no need for Democracy. And if things go horribly wrong? Blame Bush and Republicans.

She can say that again...Democrats do nothing but whine and point fingers and blame others and bring in the lawyers. Most Americans pull themselves up by their bootstraps and get to work SOLVING a crisis, not trying to find some to “kick their “a**”
It’s not ignorance. It’s deliberate lies to those she thinks are too dumb to realize the truth.
It was the dems who forced the banks to give mortgages to people with no income, no assets, and no way to make even the first mortgage payment.
Well, of course she is. She has only been the SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE since 2007 and the House only needs a simple majority to pass anything, so why wouldn’t it be the Republicans fault.
Every time I see a comment like this, it points me back to the fact that for many of our ills, it is CONGRESS’S fault! (And NANCY is currently in charge of the House and Harry is currently in charge of the SENATE!)
If Congress didn’t want taxes, they could eliminate taxes
If Congress didn’t want a SS crisis, they could eliminate the crisis
If Congress didn’t want environmental regulations, they could elminate those regulations
If Congress didn’t want to give money to failed government programs, they could stop giving money to failed government programs.

etc
etc
Having established herself as a distinguished theologian I expected Nancy to blame God for the nation’s woes.
For my own purposes, I prefer to believe that they are evil, as opposed to insane.

It’s their modus operandi to be able to point to some minor thing they’ve done when confronted with the huge disaster that they’ve spawned.
And aren’t we all so much better off now that incandescent lightbulbs have been replaced by noisy, harsh, biohazard plagued CFLs instead?
