Forman doesn't even acknowledge that there is any problem between the Obama administration and Israel.

Problem? Oh no. He is overjoyed. The left wing in Israel have been praying for a bully like Obama. They are deeply ashamed of Israel. They want Israel to die, and in its place an egalitarian democracy of Jews, Arabs, Muslims, and Christians. Finally, they have the "strong" American president who will force those stupid Bible thumpers back into a box where they belong.

Forman is, at least officially, the head honcho of the largest political movement among Jews in the United States: Jewish Democrats. He has access to the Obama White House. Yet his response to the Commentary statement is even more strident in defense of the Obama administration than those of the other leftists like Dershowitz, Foxman, Wolpe, and even Yoffie. All of that speaks volumes about the ignorance or the apathy of so many Jewish 'Rats with respect to what their party is up to.

Former Jews support Obama for the same reason as former Christians. They have abandoned core Jewish values for leftist dogmas. They take sides --- support any leftist not matter what --- rather than stand on principle.

For me, a Jew, to observe all this is particularly painful.
