DHL is having trouble breaking into the U.S. market against their two biggest U.S. competitors, FedEx and UPS.

They have a small regional operation in Washington, Pennsylvania which actually makes sense because it is a straight shot down I-79 from the Pittsburgh airport so doesn't get mixed with the traffic going into the city.

But with FedEx Ground headquartered here and UPS having a massive facility, they've always had trouble in this particular market.

I believe the German Postal System is one of DHL's biggest stockholders-- so massive hiring at their Cincinnati Hub probably means a renewed push to get back into markets like ours.

Yes, and most of them were in Wilmington, Ohio, not far from Cincinnati. Why don’t they just call some of those people back?
