Interesting

I live in an area I wouldn’t consider letting my child “socialize” with the local public schooligans. The military base school sucks up most of the well behaved kids and it’s the welfare losers who go to the local school. I have a friend who is a kindergarten and first grade teacher here and she is horrified by the stuff she sees in the 5 and 6 year olds.

The majority of Computer Science students for advanced degrees in the U.S. are from outside the U.S.

A good part of this may be to the fact that Americans are relatively well to do and the younger generation is not interested in working hard to get off the farm, since they never lived & worked on the farm.

The article is the worst mistitled one in a long time.

If there's a "genius gap" the boys are still ahead:

To be fair, boys do tend to catch up to their female peers on both math and verbal test scores by high school. New York’s eight gifted high schools—Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Tech, etc.—have more boys enrolled than girls. But these particular statistics fail to capture the broader new reality for boys and men in the U.S.: They are less likely to graduate from high school and less likely to get a college degree.

So it's not a "genius gap" but an "above average gap."

You are on to something. Engineering is really hard work even if much of the work is done behind a desk and seldom leads to the big bucks.

As you are probably aware, the toilet seat issue pushed by some women had nothing to do with the safety of pets or babies.

I have noticed this among horses as well-the older the mare, the more likely she is to have fillies. Nature’s way of replacing themselves, I guess.

Sorry, nice try. The woman has nothing to do with the sex of a child - that's all the man.

Hmmm, not so sure that works with horses. Just because we’re both mammals doesn’t mean are DNA reacts the same.
