I would never EVER let my daughter do something like this. BUT I am reading people demanding that the full power and force of government sanction be unloaded on this family. Give me a break!
This is why I hate my modern American society. A bunch of “observers” and “critisizers” who want to control everybody elses actions from the comfort of their own living room, while sitting on their fat azzes. Always eager to bring government power to bear on behavior that they deem “unusual” or “dangerous”.
In post 155 you said that you "would never EVER let my daughter do something like this", but on post 132 you said "If she had the right stuff, and was commmited to doing it, you bet I’d let her do it. Twice."
So which one is it? Would you let your daughter circumnavigate the globe alone in a small sailboat, or not?
