Wrong. Just because most of the 16 year-old young people that you know are not mature enough to handle this doesn’t mean that they all are. You have no idea of her maturity. I know many 16 and 17 year old young people that I would gladly trust with my life. Not all of us are raising children. A lot of us are raising young adults.
I doubt any of us can say anything the parents are not thinking right now. I would think they will have countless “if only’s” to deal with should the worst come to pass.
